Making technology decisions that hold up over time

Twenty years of working with manufacturers and distributors has taught me that the right answer and the popular answer are often different things. Witross exists to help companies find the right one.

What I Do

Advisory and architecture for companies navigating real complexity

Mid-market manufacturers and distributors face technology decisions that carry significant operational and financial consequences. I work at the level where those decisions get made — before commitments are locked in, before budgets are spent, and before the wrong architecture becomes someone else's problem to fix.

Technology Selection & Vendor Advisory

Independent evaluation of ERP, WMS, TMS, EDI, and adjacent platforms — including competitive analysis across Microsoft, NetSuite, Acumatica, and others. Total cost of ownership and ROI modeling to give executive teams an honest picture before any vendor relationship begins.

Solution Architecture

Tailored architecture across ERP, WMS, EDI, TMS, data warehouse, and AI/ML platforms. Designed to scale, integrate cleanly, and avoid the implementation debt and licensing bloat that often follow decisions made without a systems-level view.

Organization-Wide IT Strategy

Cross-platform strategy and IT advisory for organizations where technology decisions intersect with operations, finance, and organizational change. Includes change management frameworks, adoption planning, and executive alignment — the work that determines whether an implementation actually succeeds.

AI, ML & Data Architecture

Guidance on building compatible data models and infrastructure for AI, machine learning, agent-based automation, and forecasting use cases — grounded in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem and designed to integrate with existing operational systems rather than run alongside them.

Implementation Advisory

Best-practice methodology, vendor selection support, and implementation oversight developed across 20+ years of global deployments. Available as a senior independent voice for organizations who want someone with no stake in the outcome other than getting it right.

Vertical SaaS & Custom Applications

Purpose-built software products for specialized industry needs, including ML-driven assessment and monitoring tools for occupational health providers. Custom application design and deployment on the Microsoft stack for organizations whose requirements fall outside what standard platforms address.

The tools to find answers have never been more accessible. The judgment to ask the right questions is still rare.

Companies today have more access to technology guidance than at any point in history. What I see more often than not is that access to answers is not the same thing as asking the right questions. Systems get selected without architecture. Platforms get implemented without organizational readiness. A patchwork of well-intentioned decisions quietly becomes a structural problem.

My work starts before the first vendor call and before the first line of configuration. The decisions made in that window — about what to build, how to connect it, and whether the organization is ready to absorb it — determine most of what happens afterward. That is where I focus.

Microsoft and ERP remain my anchor, but the scope is deliberately cross-platform. The right answer for a given organization is not always the most familiar one, and an advisor with a stake in any particular outcome is not really an advisor.

Industries

Deep experience in the industries where operational complexity is not optional

The majority of my career has been spent with mid-market companies where supply chain, compliance, and systems integration are not background concerns — they are the business. I understand the difference between a food manufacturer's traceability requirements and a consumer products distributor's logistics model because I have worked inside both.

Let's have a conversation worth having

I work with a focused number of clients at any given time, which means the engagements I take on tend to involve real strategic decisions rather than day-to-day support.

To keep incoming inquiries meaningful — and to avoid the volume of automated outreach that comes with a public contact form — I ask that you reach out directly through LinkedIn. I read every message and respond to those that are a genuine fit.
